SUMMER BIATHLON CAMP
June 12-15, 2022
We had a successful biathlon summer camp June 12-15, 2022. Check back here for updates on our upcoming winter schedules

What Is Biathlon?
Biathlon is an Olympic sport combining cross-country racing with rifle marksmanship. Mt. Itasca’s biathlon venue boasts a 30-point range and 2, 2.5, 3.3 and 4.5-kilometer race loops that are snowed and impeccably groomed to international- race- course standards. These trails merge into a larger trail network for race warm-up and longer Nordic distance races throughout the season.

Mt. Itasca Nordic Ski Association (MINSA)
Mt. Itasca is home to Mt. Itasca Nordic Ski Association (MINSA). Under the direction of coaches Vladimir and Petra Cervenka, the organization trains athletes year round for both Nordic and biathlon competitions. MINSA hosts Junior National Qualifier (JNQ) ski races at Mt. Itasca as well as competitions organized by Minnesota Biathlon.

Cross Country Skiing At Mt. Itasca
There are many cross-country skiing activities you can participate in at Mt. Itasca. Come out and enjoy our trails! We have two trail systems, each requiring a separate pass. The biathlon trails have a fee of $6 per day, $60 for a season and $135 for a family season. The Grant-in-Aid trails require a Great Minnesota Ski Pass, which can be purchased here. Our trail map can be found here. Inquire at the main chalet, or see our passes page, about cross-country ski rental if you are new to the sport or do not have your own skis.
